Prickly pear and cholla blooms graced hikers with their bright colors on Hancock Hill this past weekend. In honor of National Trails Day on June 1, we will offer two Guided Hikes.
📍Family Hike with Maureen Frank. Children and their parents will hike less than one mile and will use the Seek app to identify plants and animals.
📍Hancock Hill Trail History Hike with Kevin Urbanczyk. Hikers will take the regular 1.8-mile route and will learn about the Hancock Hill trail system, Big Bend Trails Alliance (BBTA), trail advocacy, and sustainable trail design and maintenance.

The Honorable Judge Baldemar Garza, 1983 graduate of Sul Ross State University, will deliver the keynote address for the spring commencement ceremonies. The Alpine ceremony will be held on Friday, May 10, at 5:30 p.m. at the Pete P. Gallego Center. The Eagle Pass ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 11, at 2:30 p.m. at the International Center for Trade.
Both ceremonies will be livestreamed on on our YouTube page at the links in our bio.
